Project overview
In 2019 while working at Zehnder Communications, the Brookhaven, GA Convention & Visitors Bureau hired us to establish their brand, starting from scratch as an entirely new organization. As the lead designer on this project, I developed custom branding and identity designs and collaborated with the creative team on a brand campaign to promote tourism to Brookhaven, including print and digital marketing collateral, out-of-home advertising, signage, and more.

Brand strategy & discovery
Before starting with the design phase, we hosted an initial brand symposium, as a way to collaborate with leaders in Brookhaven on the direction of the brand. The symposium invitation featured a black and white monoline design to signify the blank slate we had to work with for this new brand.
We also embarked on a discovery photoshoot of Brookhaven, to gather inspiration for the brand and produce content for future marketing campaigns.

Brand & identity design
After visiting Brookhaven and experiencing it's natural beauty and strong sense of community, I designed a visual identity that embodied the look and feel of the destination.
• The logo mark is an abstract depiction of the city’s geographical footprint
• Pattern and colors speak to the city’s green spaces and lakes
• Dynamic overlapping layers suggest an invitation to explore around every turn
• Interconnected shapes echo the sense of community among locals and guests
